They&#8217;re too many to list in a tweet, so I thought I&#8217;d keep a running page here to refer people to.<\/p>\n<p>These things have been acquired over many months, and are not all inclusive. (That link is good for different sizes of wrap, just measure the width &amp; height of your battery and double it, then add 15mm for room to shrink).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All in all, about $30-$35 per build (and less for the 3Ah build due to less components). Also this stuff isn&#8217;t made without various tools:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/malectrics.eu\/product\/diy-arduino-battery-spot-welder-kit-v3-2-2-full_bundle_car_battery\/\">Car battery arduino spot welder<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/powerwerx.com\/tricrimp-powerpole-connector-crimping-tool\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Powerpole crimper<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2x1O8I3\">Soldering station<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3cm3tDC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Multimeter<\/a><\/li>\n<li>bunch of other tools and supplies for DIY electronics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You&#8217;ll of course need a battery charger specific to LiFePO4 chemistry (preferably 14.6v to trigger balancing, but 14.4v &amp; 14.2v chargers are fine for general purpose). Do NOT use Li-on or lead acid battery chargers! I like <a href=\"http:\/\/rover.ebay.com\/rover\/1\/711-53200-19255-0\/1?ff3=4&amp;pub=5575500276&amp;toolid=10001&amp;campid=5338528437&amp;customid=&amp;mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FBioenno-Power-BPC-1502DC-14-6V-2A-AC-to-DC-Charger-with-DC-Plug-12V-LiFePO4%2F392523679587%3Fhash%3Ditem5b643c0763%3Ag%3AMU0AAOSw6WJdxGWa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bioenno chargers<\/a> for daily use, and when testing I use a <a href=\"http:\/\/rover.ebay.com\/rover\/1\/711-53200-19255-0\/1?ff3=4&amp;pub=5575500276&amp;toolid=10001&amp;campid=5338528437&amp;customid=&amp;mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FIMAX-B6-80w-LiIon-Lipo-Life-NiCd-NiMH-Lipro-Balance-Charger%2F184176468580%3Fepid%3D1102929973%26hash%3Ditem2ae1c5e264%3Ag%3AKeoAAOSwYSxeTYCZ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iMax B6<\/a>, though the B6 only goes to 14.4v for LiFePO4*.<\/p>\n<p>I haven&#8217;t really made a how-to video since the process takes me forever and often there&#8217;s a lot of swearing. There are tons of <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/CVvXfxXzXDU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">other video<\/a>s on the topic of LiFePO4 DIY battery construction.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m also not selling these, they are just tinkering and experimentation on my part with a goal to power my ham radios. Here&#8217;s an early video I did testing some cells.
